Terms of use

Who we are
Baro is a personal health dashboard for iOS and Android, made by Habesha Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Habesha Labs. Baro is not affiliated with Fitbit or Google.
These terms cover the Baro apps and this website. By using Baro, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Baro.
Using Baro
- Baro is currently free. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases.
- There is no Baro account. To see your data, you connect your Google account and allow Baro to read your Google Health data. Google's own terms still apply to your Google account and Google Health.
- The terms of the App Store or Google Play also apply to how you download and update Baro.
- Baro is not meant for children under 13.
- You can stop using Baro at any time by deleting the app and removing its access in your Google Account settings.
Not medical advice
Baro is for general fitness and wellness information. It is not a medical device. Scores and estimates such as Fitness Age, readiness, strain, sleep and stress are calculated from your own data, and they can be incomplete or wrong. They are not a diagnosis or treatment, and they don't replace advice from a doctor. Baro shows ECG and irregular rhythm records as your device recorded them. Only a doctor can diagnose a heart condition.
Talk to a doctor about any health concern and before you make medical decisions. If you think you have an emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
Your data
We have no server that holds your health data. Baro reads your data from Google Health directly onto your phone. Some features, such as live heart rate, use your phone's own Bluetooth, and journal entries stay on your phone. Our Privacy Policy explains the details.
Acceptable use
Use Baro only for your own information and within the law. Please don't:
- reverse-engineer or modify Baro to harm people, to get around its security, or to break the law;
- use Baro to reach Google data that isn't yours, or misuse the Google access you give it;
- use Baro in a way that disrupts Google's services or other people's use of them.
No warranty
Baro is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. This includes any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise that Baro will always work, be error free, or show complete data. Your data comes from Google Health and your devices, which we don't control.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, for lost data, or for decisions you make based on Baro. Our total liability for any claim about Baro is limited to US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes
We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering Baro. We may also update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using Baro after an update, the new terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
